Although the MJFNC proudly fielded a Premiership Female Football team last year and thoroughly enjoyed supporting the continued growth of girls’ football within our club, we regret to advise that we will not be running a dedicated female football program for the upcoming season. This decision was made after careful consideration, and we understand it may be disappointing for players and families who were hoping to participate in or return to a standalone female team environment this year.
However, we want to reassure all families that there are still excellent opportunities available for junior girls who wish to play football with us in 2026. Female players are warmly welcomed and encouraged to join our mixed competition teams, which include the Under 9s, Under 11s, and Under 13s age groups. These mixed teams offer a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child can develop their skills, build friendships, and enjoy being part of our club community.
If your child was born between 30 April 2019 and 1 January 2013, they may be eligible to participate in one of our mixed-age competitions this season.
Looking ahead, we are committed to rebuilding and strengthening our female football pathways. We are actively working toward re-establishing a dedicated female football program for the 2027 season, with planning already underway to support sustainable growth and participation.
